Cape Town is the place to be. The South Korean DJ, producer, and cultural icon who has energised dance floors from Berlin to Ibiza is finally coming, and she’ s making a grand entrance. Peggy Gou will headline Black Coffee’ s Weekender at The Ostrich in February 2026.

Peggy Gou, born Kim Min-Ji, has been a defining force in electronic music since 2010. Over the past decade, she has shaped a distinctive sound within the constantly evolving genre. Her blend of house, techno, and disco, combined with elements of Korean pop culture, has established her as one of the most influential artists in club music today.
Her chart-topping tracks – the infectious“( It Goes Like) NaNaNa”, her Lenny Kravitz collaboration“ I Believe in Love Again”, and the uplifting“ Find The Way” – have solidified her reputation as both a hitmaker and an innovative producer.
Today, Gou commands sold-out shows across major cities and maintains her global appeal. Beyond her music, she has become a fashion and cultural icon, blending style, art, and sound in a way that resonates with audiences.
Her South African debut is part of a music takeover that expands on the success of its sold-out 2025 launch. Last year’ s event attracted 10 000 attendees and featured an eclectic mix of international and local artists, including Copenhagen’ s WhoMadeWho and South African favourites Shoba, Sotoffella, FKA Mash, and Sona. The performances fostered an atmosphere that celebrated global creativity alongside South Africa’ s vibrant electronic scene.
Curated by Grammy-winning Black Coffee, the Weekender is swiftly becoming a landmark event on the international music calendar. The 2026 edition will span three days, from 27 February to 1 March, blending music, culture, and creativity. Celebrations start on Friday with a charity dinner, then shifts into Saturday’ s main event, and finishes with a relaxed Sunday brunch after-party.
With Peggy Gou headlining the event, Black Coffee’ s 2026 Weekender promises an unforgettable blend of rhythm, style, and international artistry. With the hot line-up, anticipation is already rising for what is destined to be one of South Africa’ s premier events of 2026. IB
