VALLETTA
The port of Valletta is UNESCO-protected and a must-see stop for every Mediterranean cruise. More than 300 monuments in little more than half a square kilometre make this a place with one of the greatest densities of historical attractions to visit. Other attractions include its beautiful beaches, seaside locales and restaurants serving that delish Italian flair.
An excursion to the island can start from its capital, also named Valletta. Here the famous Maltese balconies decorating the facades of the Old Quarter houses are guaranteed to enchant. They’ re surrounded by a multitude of little ancient churches, which the islanders assure number as many as the days of the year.
