OVER THE PAST TWO DECADES, LOYISO BALA HAS EVOLVED FROM A MEMBER OF THE TKZEE FAMILY INTO ONE OF SOUTH AFRICA’ S MOST RESPECTED SOLO ARTISTS. HIS MUSIC CONTINUES TO MARK LIFE’ S MOST MEANINGFUL MOMENTS.
Loyiso Bala is entering a new creative chapter, with a full album set for release in 2026. The project brings together his musical roots and artistic growth. InBound SA spoke with the singer-songwriter, who reflected on a journey shaped by love, faith, and a sense of purpose beyond himself.
That sense of calling took shape during his tenure on the Southern African Music Rights Organisation board, where he gained first-hand insight into the challenges many artists face.“ I felt a responsibility to help shape the systems that support musicians,” he says.“ That moment changed how I saw my purpose.” From then on, his work extended beyond performance into advocacy, leadership, and service.
Faith sits at the centre of Bala’ s creativity, guiding both his life and music. He describes it as the engine room that shapes how he shows up in the studio and on stage, reflecting his belief in God as the ultimate Creator.
