JEFTHA WEDDING:
BY VENECIA VALENTINE
INBOUND SA CAUGHT UP WITH ACTOR AND MODEL ANTON JEFTHA AND HIS BEAUTIFUL BRIDE, TEGAN, FRESH FROM SAYING“ I DO”.
Still floating on cloud nine after a yearlong engagement, Anton Jeftha and his wife, Tegan, opened up about the moments, meaning, and faith that shaped what they describe as one of the most blessed days of their lives.
The couple announced their engagement in December 2024 and got married on 19 December 2025.
Looking back, emotion defined every part of the day. For Anton, one moment stands out above the rest.“ Watching Tegan walk down the aisle towards me was incredibly emotional,” he shares.“ There were many moments, but that one stays with me.”
For Tegan, the emotion stemmed from something larger than a single memory.“ I get emotional thinking about the beauty of our families and friends being united,” she says.“ It truly felt like one big family gathering, and everyone was so present and joyful.”
The couple announced their wedding around Christmas, with Tegan calling it“ the most blessed day of my life.” Faith was not only present but also foundational to the celebration.
“ My faith is my firm foundation,” she explains.“ When you believe God is present in the moment, it allows you to experience everything fully. There was a peace and inner joy I can’ t put into words.”
Seeing each other for the first time brought a sense of calm rather than nerves. Anton admits he had been eagerly anticipating Tegan’ s dress reveal.“ She’ d been telling me for months she’ d found the one, but nothing prepared me for how beautiful she looked,” he says.“ I was absolutely blown away.” For Tegan, the moment felt like coming home.“ Anton has always been my safe place,” she says.“ I didn’ t feel nervous. I felt at home.”
Tegan’ s beaded off-the-shoulder gown, created by Calegra Bridal House, was the first dress she tried on.“ My girlfriends, my mum, and my sister all cried,” she recalls.“ We just knew.” A custom lace choker, made from the same material as the gown, added a personal finishing touch. Anton opted for timeless elegance in a threepiece tuxedo tailored by Grant of Frank Bespoke.“ Nothing beats a well-tailored tux,” he says simply.
True to their nature, the couple didn’ t overplan.“ We’ re not big planners, but things always seem to fall into place,” Tegan shares. The overall aesthetic was classic and timeless, with a neutral palette and subtle bespoke details that enhanced the simplicity rather than overpowering it.
The ceremony was deeply spiritual. Tegan’ s uncle, Apostle Goldman, officiated, while her cousins led praise and worship. One of the most moving moments was when both sets of parents prayed over their union, followed by an anointing ritual at the reception.“ You could feel the impact on our guests,” Tegan says.“ It was a beautiful day.”
Music played a central role throughout the celebration. Anton’ s father sang as the couple entered the reception, and Anton later surprised Tegan by singing after his speech. Their first dance, set to Leon Bridges’ Beyond, was deliberately simple and unchoreographed.“ We just wanted to be in the moment,” Anton says.
When asked what love has taught them, Anton
