BROUGHT TO YOU BY THE WOODLAND HILLS FOUNDATION. Through generous funding from two donors through DonorsChoose.org, my classroom was able to purchase 6 Amazon Kindles for student usage. These Kindles will be added to 2 tablets I had received previously from DonorsChoose.org funding in order to allow my students even more opportunities to explore learning digitally. Some of the programs we use on the tablets are Raz-Kids (a reading program that differentiates their reading), Spelling City (in order to practice their spelling and vocabulary words), and the Super Kids app (to practice the skills we learn in our reading program). In math, we use Splash Math and First Grade Learning Games. The utilization of these tablets in centers, combined with computers, allow these youngsters the opportunity to differentiate their learning and practice digital skills to lay the foundation for future grades and classes. My students are so thankful to receive the funding and use these tablets in this very parent-oriented, and supportive school.
