Be sure to visit the beautifully renovated hillside and pollinator gardens, now in full bloom at Forest Hills Main Park! These vibrant spaces are designed to support pollinators and bring natural beauty to the community.
All are welcome to stop by during Community Day on Friday, July 4. Say hello, explore the gardens, and have your gardening questions ready!
The Garden Club of Forest Hills meets on the first Thursday of each month( except January and February), typically at Christ Lutheran Church, 400 Barclay Avenue. Arrive at 9:30 a. m. for coffee and tea, followed by a short business meeting, an engaging program, and a light lunch. Guests are always welcome!

EAST WINDS SYMPHONIC BAND FREE SUMMER CONCERT SERIES
The East Winds Symphonic Band is set to deliver a vibrant lineup of free concerts across Western Pennsylvania this summer. The concerts begin on Flag Day in June and will continue with outdoor and indoor performances in Monroeville, Ligonier, Munhall and Coraopolis through mid-August.
From relaxing evenings under the stars to cool escapes in air-conditioned venues, each concert features a joyful program of band favorites for all ages.
Schedule highlights include performances at the Tall Trees Amphitheater( July 6), CCAC Boyce Campus( July 13), Ligonier’ s historic Diamond( July 27), St. John’ s Cathedral Center in Munhall( Aug. 3) and Riverfront Park in Coraopolis( Aug. 17).
Attendees of outdoor events are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets with them.

PEARLARTS REBRANDS AND EXPANDS IN NEW BRADDOCK STUDIO
PearlArts has unveiled an exciting new chapter with a bold rebrand as PearlArts Movement & Sound and the opening of a vibrant new studio in Braddock.
Co-founded by artistic directors Staycee and Herman Pearl, the multidisciplinary organization has long been known for blending dance, sound and multimedia to create genre-defying performances that uplift and inspire.
The rebrand, developed in collaboration with Workhorse Collaborative, unites all of PearlArts’ initiatives— including Staycee Pearl dance project & Soy Sos and Tuff Sound Recording— under one cohesive identity.

RED CROSS SEEKS VOLUNTEERS IN PENNSYLVANIA
The American Red Cross of Greater Pennsylvania is calling for more volunteers, especially in rural communities, to assist with disaster response, blood drives and community education efforts.
Volunteers play a crucial role in providing support to families affected by home fires and other emergencies, engaging with blood donors, and promoting emergency preparedness. In 2024, about 3,400 volunteers helped respond to more than 1,500 local disasters and supported 5,000 blood drives.

AUBERLE CELEBRATES 37TH ANNUAL ALL- STAR BANQUET
The stars were shining brightly as Auberle celebrated the outstanding successes of program participants at the 37th Annual All-Star Banquet held on March 26.
Auberle recognized the hard work, determination and resilience of participants in overcoming significant challenges.
The celebration also brought together community members and supporters to acknowledge the transformative impact of Auberle’ s programs on the lives of the individuals, families and communities it serves. n
