COMMUNITY- FOCUSED GROCERY AND RETAIL HUB TO OPEN IN BRADDOCK
Paradigm Place, a new communitycentered retail and food hub from Paradigm Global Innovations, will open in early 2026 at 401 Sixth Street in Braddock— formerly a Family Dollar location.
The space will feature fresh groceries, everyday essentials and an innovative kiosk program that allows small and local brands to showcase products affordably in storefronts.
Paradigm Place will offer three types of retail spaces:
• Local-Only Kiosks for small businesses and creatives.
• Hybrid Kiosks combining local and familiar products.
• Anchor Kiosks ensuring core essentials like fresh produce, pantry staples, and household goods.
Vendors can rent weekly, monthly or daily, keeping 100 % of their sales— creating a low-risk platform for emerging brands.
The hub will also include a hot bar, food offerings, community events, and pop-ups, while exploring partnerships with local colleges for tech-driven initiatives.
NEW FUND TO SUPPORT LOCAL OPPORTUNITY ZONES
Summit Gold Ventures, LLC, a Qualified Opportunity Fund managed by Paradigm Global Innovations, has been launched to support businesses and real estate projects in Pittsburgh-area Opportunity Zones, with an initial focus on Braddock and North Braddock.
The fund aims to help small, community-focused businesses access early-stage capital, create durable jobs and drive economic growth in underserved areas.
Opportunity Zone tax incentives allow investors to defer or reduce capital gains taxes when reinvesting in these communities.
“ Our goal is to help good ideas take root and demonstrate that innovation can happen anywhere,” said Rachael Afolabi, CEO of Paradigm Global Innovations and manager of Summit Gold Ventures.
