WHAT’ S NEWS IN WOODLAND HILLS
FOREST HILLS DOG PARK PROJECT UPDATE
As reported in September 2016, the Dog Park project is moving forward thanks to strong community support and a Community Tourism and Infrastructure Fund grant from the state.
The project was bid out by the borough, and six contractors put forward bids to work on the project. The bids were reviewed by Council and a contractor by the name of Sports and Recreation was selected for the project. Council approved the final selection at the Nov. 16 meeting. The borough is currently working with the contractor on project formalities such as insurance, contracts, etc. The construction start date will depend on weather, but it is estimated that the dog park will be complete by April.
Over the next few months, the committee will be working on a trailhead structure that will feature plaques listing donors who supported the project at the $ 500 + level. Donations are still being accepted online or via mail. Visit foresthillsdogpark. org / donate for more information.
All donations to support the park are taxdeductible to the fullest extent of the law. Gifts of $ 500 + will receive recognition on a donor wall within the park.
