WOODLAND HILLS
elcome back to the 2019-2020
School year! I hope the summer
has treated you well. On behalf of
the Woodland Hills Foundation, we wish the
students, parents, faculty and staff a successful
and enriching school year.
The Woodland Hills School District touches
everything in our community: our children’s
education, our quality of life, our infrastructure
and our livelihoods. And the mission of the
Woodland Hills Foundation is to support and
enrich the School District by strengthening,
expanding and creating new experiences
and innovations within our schools. At the
heart of that mission is people and the talent
they possess: Their passions, skills, and ideas
become the lifeblood and the future of our
community.
That’s where YOU come in!
With our commitment — and your help —
we can support the Woodland Hills School
District and its leaders to be successful in
their vision…after all, it’s the same as ours. We
want every child to learn at the highest levels
possible, not just at their current potential.
We want every child to be able to extend
his or herself beyond what they are capable of
achieving today. To do that, we need the most
innovative curriculum, the best teachers, the
best administrators and the best communities
to foster that development and growth.
So, how do you get involved? You can start by
checking out our new and improved website:
www.WoodlandHillsFoundation.com. There
you’ll learn about upcoming events, volunteer
opportunities, ways to give and more! And while
you’re there, sign up for our new E-Newsletter.
Periodically, we’ll send you information on our
upcoming events, volunteer opportunities,
impact reports and more. But that’s not all. We
want to hear from YOU! Have you volunteered
for a recent H.U.G.S. event? Maybe you attended
our Chocolate and Diamonds Affair? Or your child
received one of our scholarships? Send us your
stories, your photos--whatever you want to share.
Of course, our main goal is to provide even
more scholarships, make more dreams come true
and to connect you, our community, with our
classrooms. Our success, and the success of our
students, depends on the friendship, guidance
and support of community members like you. We
hope to see you soon. And maybe your friends
and family just might see you in next issue of In
Woodland Hills!
With you in the community,
Dr. Steven T. Gough
