Our goal is to provide readers with the most informative and professional regional publication in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. This year the Woodland Hills Academy is marking the centennial of the construction of its school building. Over those 100 years, the building has been known as Union High School, Turtle Creek High School, East Junior High School and presently Woodland Hills Academy. In 2007 it was listed in the National Register of Historic Places by the U.S. Department of the Interior, and in 2009 it was designated an Historic Landmark by the Pittsburgh History and Landmarks Foundation. The Woodland Hills School District is proud of the history of the school building and will continue to honor its legacy.
