Rivers of Steel Arts welcomed the Pittsburgh
community to the first annual Community Day
at the Carrie Furnaces on July 21 from 12 to
5 p.m. Neighbors and friends gathered at the
National Historic Landmark for a day filled
with creative projects, outdoor fun, local food
and entertainment. Visitors got a behind-the-
scenes look at the exciting programming Rivers
of Steel offers, including hands-on workshops,
photo safaris, graffiti art projects, foundry
work and much more.
