WOODLAND HILLS COMMUNITY MURAL PROJECT!! A TRANSFORMATION!! “SHARED ART EXPERIENCE” Micci Hutterer The W oodland Hills Junior Musical is proud to a nnounce I’ve been an art teacher for the Woodland Hills School since the beginning, yes, the beginning! I love teaching in this district! Actually, I am honored to teach in this district! I grew up in the Braddock/Rankin area, my family is still living there. I am very proud and excited to have my idea for this project come to life! The power of the visual arts conveys a message of communnity and celebrates the growth of the Woodland Hills School District. I want to accomplish a shared art experience for students and community by painting a large outdoor mural on campus. All staff, residents of the community, alumni, young students, jr/ sr students, anyone interested living in the twelve communities that make up our district are welcome to come by the Woodland Hills Jr/Sr High School campus and paint!! Throughout the summer, including Community Day for Woodland Hills, I have been painting! We’ve had some very nice families come by to paint. The compliments are wonderful and a clear indication that the mural enlivens the space and is welcoming! It is still in progress, we will be after school with students, please come by, say hello and contribute to the mural! PRESENTED JANUA RY 11-13, 201 8 IN THE THOMAS G.
