FOR OUR VETERANS
On Oct . 19 and 20 , Operation Troop Appreciation held its much-awaited annual Overstock Extravaganza at the organization ’ s newly renovated headquarters and events center in West Mifflin .
There were lots of themed gift baskets raffled off , and great deals on tons of merchandise . Patrons were allowed to make offers and bargain on the price of clothing , tools , electronics , household items , sporting goods and even furniture .
Proceeds from the sale will fund Operation Troop Appreciation ’ s mission of fulfilling an Active Duty Wishlist for servicemembers , consisting of items that contribute to their morale and well-being .
The group also has a program for returning veterans , Operation Welcome Home , which provides critical services for at-risk veterans recovering from homelessness or hospitalization from combat-related service . To learn more , visit operationtroopappreciation . org .
