COVID-19 Can ’ t Stop PHMS Annual Food Drive
Each year PHMS students lead a food drive to benefit our local food bank at the Olivet Church in West Elizabeth . The food drive has come to represent the empathy our school and families have for others in need . The food drive has been a tradition at PHMS with staff and students donating items over the past 20 years . Even with the constraints of COVID-19 , the staff , students and parents made sure the food drive still met its goal .
This year , we also reached out to community members to help support the food drive . On November 7 , Pleasant Hills Middle School staff held a drive-thru community food collection event . Thank you to all of the community members and local businesses who helped to make the PHMS Community Food Collection event a huge success . Special shout-outs to Uni-Mart and Shop-n-Save for their generous donations and to Tavern in the Hills for hosting !
