Last year for Veterans Day we held our Tribute to the Troops . Unfortunately due to the safety restrictions put in place in response to the COVID pandemic , we were unable to honor our veterans with our in-person breakfast and tribute . However , we created a virtual tribute to show our veterans the respect they deserve . This special tribute included interviews from staff members sharing their own personal experiences and heartfelt thoughts on celebrating this day . We also had several of our PHMS students interview their veteran to provide them the opportunity to speak first hand about what it means to be a veteran . We also had over 50 names submitted to be recognized with our Star Soldiers from members of our PHMS Community . It was our way to honor their years of service and express our gratitude for their dedication . Special thanks to the Tribute to the Troops Committee members , Mrs . Kolenda and Mrs . Haselhoff , for their support in recognizing our veterans , and Mr . Lauso for putting together our virtual tribute for our local veterans . Thank you to our families who participated by submitting a soldier ’ s name or volunteering to interview their family member . Most importantly , to our veterans , today and always , we celebrate your dedication and sacrifice . Thank you !
