Star Wars Reads Month
A
long time ago... in a galaxy far, far, away... someone thought it was
a great idea to combine Star Wars with encouraging kids to read.
How genius! Every Wednesday in October, we encouraged students
to show their inner Jedi by wearing Star Wars gear for “Wookie
Wednesdays.” There were Star Wars characters that showed up at our Family
Book Fair Night, and Darth Vader even read to some classes. The PTA also sent
home a daily reading log. For each one the students turned in, they got a
chance at a stellar prize package.
