Kindness in the
Community
Kindness is contagious, and the students
and teachers at McClellan Elementary
are doing their part to spread the word.
Realizing that not all members of our
community are on social media, Mrs.
Brnusak (chair of our PTA Outreach
Committee) asked students and teachers
to brainstorm ideas and create “kindness
posters” with the hope that community
businesses would display them in their
store windows for all to see. As always,
our area business owners were more than
happy to support the students’ kindness
initiative. During the month of November,
McClellan’s kindness posters can be viewed
all over town in 20 Pleasant Hills businesses.
As one first grade student stated, “I hope
our poster shows people that they have
to always be kind to other people. That
will make the whole world a lot nicer.”
