Need Wireless Internet Connection? Jefferson Hills Library now owns several portable hot spot devices for data connection. Wireless (or Wi-Fi) hotspots are wireless access points providing network and/or Internet access to mobile devices like your laptop or smartphone in public locations. The hotspot can be taken on trips and can support up to ten devices at a time. Library patrons may borrow these hot spots just like any other library materials. Loan period is one week, but the loan period can be adjusted depending on the need of the borrower and availability of the device. PA Game Commission Presents Program on Coyotes in our Neighborhoods Douglas Berman and Robert Fickley of the PA Game Commission recently presented an interesting and informative program on the Eastern Coyote. Having been seen in all 67 counties in Pennsylvania and every one of the municipalities in the 350 square mile District in Allegheny County, the coyote has been the focal point of many discussions in our Borough neighborhoods. One very important note of caution is to watch our pets left unattended in our yards, especially in the evening hours, when they may fall prey to a coyote. If you were not able to join us, here are some useful links to learn more about the Eastern Coyote. http://www.pgc.pa.gov/Education/WildlifeNotesIndex/ Pages/ECoyote.aspx http://www.pgc.pa.gov/Wildlife/WildlifeSpecies/ EasternCoyote/Pages/default.aspx http://wildlifehelp.org/animals/pennsylvania/coyote 46 West Jefferson Hills FREE Computer Workshops/Individual Tutoring At the Jefferson Hills Library Tuesdays between 2:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. Make an appointment by calling the Library at 412-655-7741 Our tutor can help with all PC questions including: Setting up an email account Getting set up on Facebook How to prepare and send a newsletter Preventing computer viruses What to do if your computer malfunctions How to set up a budget
