Dig Into Summer Reading at JHPL
Jefferson Hills Public Library recently kicked off its Summer Reading season with an exciting Summer Reading Kickoff Party celebrating this year’ s theme,“ Unearth a Story.” Families enjoyed a picnic dinner from Blaine Hill BBQ while signing up for the Summer Reading Program and taking part in a variety of hands-on activities. Attendees enjoyed face painting, created dinosaur-themed suncatchers, made edible dirt cups, and even potted plants to take home.
The Summer Reading Program encourages readers of all ages to explore stories that inspire, challenge, and entertain throughout the summer months. Participants can track their reading, attend engaging programs, and enjoy activities designed to bring this year’ s theme to life. Running from June 8 through August 6, the library’ s summer schedule is packed with opportunities for all ages to participate.

Passive activities including reading logs, bingo challenges, library scavenger hunts, weekly take-home activities, and summer reading raffle baskets will be running throughout the summer, offering even more ways to participate and earn prizes along the way.
