Embark on an Adventure with Our Summer Reading Program
I hope this letter finds you well and brimming with anticipation for the summer months ahead . As we eagerly approach this season of warmth and leisure , I am thrilled to announce the launch of our highly anticipated Summer Reading Program , filled to the brim with adventure and excitement !
At Jefferson Hills Library , we firmly believe in the transformative power of reading to transport us to distant lands , ignite our imaginations , and fuel our thirst for adventure . With this year ’ s program , we are inviting readers of all ages to embark on a journey like never before , exploring exciting adventures at your library .
Our theme for this summer is " Adventure Beings at Your Library .” Every week from June 12 through August 10 , Miss Suzi will host Baby Storytime , Toddler Storytime , STEAM Wednesdays , and Gaming Club . Each week our events will send us on an adventure close to home or far away , including a nature walk with Allegheny County Park Rangers , visits from exotic animals , a chance to build a hovercraft , and plenty of activities to spark wonder and creativity .
We ’ re also continuing our popular summer reading challenge on Beanstack , where people of all ages have a chance to win gift cards by tracking the amount of time they spend reading this summer . The more you read , the more chances you will win ! Our free basket raffle is also set to begin June 12 , so be sure to stop by the library and check something out to get your free ticket .
Adults are also invited to join us on our adventures . From beekeeping to watercolor painting , calligraphy lessons and verbal safety classes for women , we have plenty of opportunities for folks to try something new .

EXPERIENCE KITS ARE AVAILABLE BEGINNING IN JUNE
Allegheny County libraries are offering experience kits granting patrons free access to local museums . The 2024 kits will be ready this June , each available for a week-long checkout . Stop by the library and check out a great summer experience !
