A MESSAGE FROM MAYOR BILL TRIMBATH est Jefferson Hills PLEASANT HILLS BOROUGH NEWS
Hello Pleasant Hills Residents !!
We are excited to start contributing to the West Jefferson Hills IN Community Magazine . We are looking for new and better methods of communicating with our residents and friends in the neighboring communities and we feel that having Pleasant Hills represented in this magazine will be a benefit to all .
You can expect to read articles about upcoming borough activities such as Community Day , National Night Out , Summer Recreation , Playground Events and much more . These articles will be supplied in addition to our traditional means through the Borough website , Facebook and annual newsletter .
We will introduce you to key borough staff , Police Officers , Fire Fighters , Public Works employees , and elected officials . We hope this will provide a better appreciation of the people and services they provide .
Pleasant Hills has been investing in our community , our public areas , parks , and playgrounds are being upgraded and improved . For example , directed lighting is being added to the soccer field at Breisinger Field that should provide for more opportunities for use while not interfering with our neighbors . Our utility infrastructure is continuing to be upgraded with street paving , sewer repair and replacement , and pedestrian safety signing . Over the next two to three years , PENNDOT will be improving and repaving the segments of Curry Hollow Road and Route 51 . Our Police , Fire Department , and Baldwin Emergency Medical Services are scheduling safety events that will provide unique opportunities such as the Drug Take Back Program , Fire Prevention Lessons and Public Health Sessions .
So , a lot of good things are happening in our borough and we hope that you can look forward to reading about it in the quarterly issues of the West Jefferson Hills IN Community Magazine .
