Jefferson Hills
Recreation Board Brings Back
Community Day
Perfect weather greeted the return after six years of
Community Day in Jefferson Hills on Saturday, June 10.
Hundreds of residents turned out to 885 Andrew Reilly
Memorial Park and had a great time visiting vendor
booths, playing games, eating picnic foods and enjoying
performances by local musicians, singers and dancers.
An evening concert by the country music band, Stickers
and Zambelli fireworks ended the fun-filled day. Here is
just a sample of our photos. See them all on our web site,
jeffersonhillsboro.org under Photo Gallery. Thanks to our
Recreation Board for a wonderful day!
Thank you, Jefferson Hills Community for a Great Earth Day Cleanup!
We asked for volunteers for our April 22 Earth Day cleanup of
Borough roads, and a few hundred TJ High School students and
faculty, scout troops, church groups, local businesses and families
stepped up to help us.
Thank you to everyone who volunteered in any way to make
Earth Day 2017 such a huge success! We also thank our Borough
Police Department, Volunteer Fire Companies, EMS and Public
Works Department for helping with safety; Keep PA Beautiful
program coordinator Michelle Dunn for securing our supplies
and overseeing the event; Mayor Jan Cmar and her family for
coordinating the breakfast; and all local businesses and donors who
provided the breakfast. All of you prove why we are an exceptional
community! Check out our web site,

more photos.
