Jefferson Hills Teens
Complete Projects to Earn
Scouting’s Highest Honor
This spring, two local scouts, Samantha Lantz and Sam
Organist chose Borough projects to complete their requirements
for Scouting’s highest honor, the Gold and Eagle Scout Award.
Congratulations to Samantha for her Gold Award project,
the wall and area around the Veterans Honor Roll at Floreffe
Fire Hall. Samantha also collected
clothes and basic household items for
homeless veterans. She was recognized
by the American Legion Auxiliary for
her efforts.
For his project, Sam chose the
entrance to 885 Andrew Reilly Memorial
Park. In addition to adding a beautiful
new sign, Sam landscaped the area
around the sign.
Sam said that he chose the park for
his Eagle Award because he lives nearby
and “always had fun playing in the Park
as a child.” Congratulations, Sam!
