PRESCHOOL STORYTIME: Tuesdays, through Aug. 30, at 10:30 a. m. and 1:30 p. m. Explore different themes through stories, songs, crafts, and a snack. For children from 3½ to 6 years old, with or without a caregiver. No registration necessary.
BABY BOOK NOOK: Wednesdays, through Aug. 31, at 10:30 and 11:30 a. m. Due to popular demand, we added another time. Nursery and action rhymes, songs, books, and so much more. For children ages birth to 2 years old, with a caregiver. No registration necessary.
TOT TIME: Thursdays, through Aug. 25, at 10:30 a. m. Learn and grow with stories, songs, finger plays, fun activities, and a snack. For children ages 2 to 3½ years old, with a caregiver. No registration necessary.
TEEN TALK: Thursdays, through Aug. 11, at 12:30 p. m. Stuff your face with delicious pizza while playing games and hanging out with friends. For teens going into grades 6 through 12. No registration necessary.

COUNTY HUMAN SERVICES’ SUMMER FOOD PROGRAM UNDERWAY
PROGRAM PROVIDES NUTRITIOUS MEALS FOR CHILDREN DURING THE SUMMER
Weekdays through Aug. 19, the Allegheny County Department of Human Services will operate the SummerFood program. The program offers free breakfast, lunch and recreation for children through 18 years old, as well as eligible individuals with disabilities. Nutritious meals will be available at more than 80 sites throughout the county. A site supervisor and accompanying staff will be present to ensure the well-being of the children at all sites.

SENIOR FARMERS MARKET NUTRITION PROGRAM
Allegheny County Department of Human Services Area Agency on Aging( AAA) is again administering the Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program. This program benefits eligible older adults by providing a set of four checks for a total of $ 20 to purchase locally grown fresh fruits and vegetables.
Checks were distributed on a first come-first served basis starting Tuesday, June 14, through the AAA senior center network. The checks can be spent through Nov. 30 on produce grown in Pennsylvania at participating farmers’ markets.
To be eligible for the checks you must: be an Allegheny County resident; be age 60 or older before Dec. 31; not live in a residential facility providing meals; and meet income requirements($ 21,978 annual gross income for a one-person household and $ 29,637 for a two-person household).

BRITSBURGH!
One of the largest British festivals in the country will take place Sept. 6 through 11 at various venues all over the Pittsburgh region. This six-day festival offers events for all age groups and budgets, with an emphasis on fun, in celebration of over 200 years of historic ties between Pittsburgh and Great Britain.
Whether you are a Beatles and Stones fan, or your taste is more choral or brass band, there will be great British music throughout the week. The Pittsburgh Tea Association will be observing the fine art of English tea at numerous tearooms, for those longing for some real scones with Devonshire cream. Restaurants and bars will also be featuring British brews and English dishes. The British Film Festival will feature critically acclaimed works and celebrated stars of the big screen from across the pond.
Britsburgh’ s partners, including the Carnegie Museum of Art, Hartwood Acres, Duquesne University, The Frick Art and Historical Center, and the Arcade Comedy Theater, will all have exciting events planned with a touch of the British Isles in mind.
