Friends of the JHPL Used Book & Boutique Sale is Back!

You won’ t want to miss the Friends of the Jefferson Hills Public Library Used Book & Boutique Sale, happening April 23 – 26, 2026! The event kicks off with the always-popular Preview Party on Thursday, April 23, from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM. This early-access event is the best chance to browse the book and boutique tables before the sale opens to the public. Tickets are $ 10 in advance at the library circulation desk or $ 12 on the day of the party.
The main sale runs Friday, April 24, through Sunday, April 26. Shop from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM on Friday and Saturday for gently used or new books, DVDs, puzzles, games, and boutique items. On Sunday, April 26, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM, don’ t miss Bag Day($ 5 bag or $ 10 medium box) and 50 % off boutique items.
Behind the scenes, this event takes a lot of helping hands. Volunteers are always encouraged to assist with setup, teardown, restocking, or providing a dish for the Preview Party. Donations help too! Gently used or new books, media, puzzles, scarves, bags, jewelry, and decorative items are being accepted through April 13, 2026. All items must be in good condition; old, worn, or moldy donations cannot be accepted. For large donations( over three boxes), please call the library at 412-655-7741 to schedule a drop-off appointment. Please do not leave items outside the library doors at any time.
Every purchase, donation, and volunteer support the Jefferson Hills Public Library and help fund valuable programs and services throughout the year. It’ s one of the library’ s most anticipated events for a reason, and it’ s worth stopping by more than once throughout the weekend. We’ ll see you there!

The Friends of the Jefferson Hills Public Library continue to make a meaningful impact with a generous $ 13,500 donation in support of library services and programs. Ongoing contributions from the Friends play an essential role in strengthening what the library can offer to the community each year.
Funding from the Friends helps expand programming, refresh and grow the collection, and enhance resources that keep the library welcoming, relevant, and responsive to community needs. Their steady commitment behind the scenes turns fundraisers like the book sale, and memberships into tangible benefits for readers, learners, and visitors of all ages.
