As a part of our ongoing efforts to increase interest and boost membership for the West Jefferson Hills Chamber of Commerce , the Board of Directors is excited to share our new recruitment strategy for the 2024 Year : “ The Three Rs ” – Recruit , Retain and Re-engage .
· RECRUIT : The West Jefferson Hills Chamber of Commerce is actively welcoming new members . Whether you are an individual or business , there is a place for everyone in the chamber . We hope you will consider joining us as we work together to create a viable local economy and promote the communities of West Elizabeth , Jefferson Hills and Pleasant Hills . The chamber provides members with several opportunities throughout the year for business networking , community appreciation and professional development .
· RETAIN : Our current members are vital to the chamber , and we strive to be an organization they are proud to be a part of in our community . Retaining our existing network is a critical priority for the chamber . We are committed to fostering an environment where members feel valued and connected . Ideally , our members will be excited to renew their annual membership for many years to come .
· RE-ENGAGE : Recognizing the challenges of the past several years , ( for example the effects of COVID ) we understand that many organizations , including ours , have experienced a decline in membership . In response , we are making a deliberate and proactive effort to reconnect with former members and extend invitations for them to rejoin the chamber .
By enthusiastically embracing The Three Rs , our goal is not only to welcome new members , but to create an active and supportive network that values its existing members and seeks to rekindle relationships with those who were previously involved with the chamber . ANNUAL CHRISTMAS PARTY
The annual Christmas Dinner was held on Dec . 21 , 2023 at Ciccanti ’ s Ristorante at 1206 PA 51 in Jefferson Hills . Everyone was able to eat hot hors d ’ oeuvres , delicious meals , and sweet desserts . Cocktails were available to celebrate the Christmas season . The service was excellent which contributed to a warm and relaxing celebration . In addition , members were given an opportunity to network while getting to relax and enjoy the holiday spirit season !
RIBBON CUTTING CEREMONY
On Thursday , Jan . 25 , 2024 , the West Jefferson Hills Chamber of Commerce attended a ribbon cutting ceremony at the Clearview Federal Credit Union branch in Pleasant Hills located in the Southland Shopping Center . The event was an open house to local politicians , school administrators , chamber members , many others and of course the friendly staff working at Clearview . Light refreshments were served . Small gifts such as water bottles and journals were given to those in attendance . Please do not hesitate to stop-in , meet the staff , and find out what services are offered in the highly technical comfortable space . I think you may be impressed . The institution is already giving back to our community with a generous donation to Pleasant Hills Middle School ! The weather was rainy so the event happened inside the Clearview building .
Our 99 years young member was declared “ Miss Clearview ” for the day ( in the pink raincoat ). Louise serves as the secretary of the chamber and represents West Elizabeth Council . What a wonderful day it was for a ribbon cutting !
