Realty One Group
Gold Standard’s Irene
Richmond — When
Trust in Your Realtor
Matters
H
elping buyers and sellers get through the
emotional and fi nancial highs and lows of
home sales isn’t easy. That’s why, when it
comes to fi nding the right Realtor to represent
you, you need someone you can trust immediately.
According to Realty One Group Gold Standard’s Irene
Richmond, building that trust in the short period of time
she works with clients is one of her specialties.
“When you’re working with a buyer or a seller, your average
length of time spent with them is around three to six months,” she
said. “I only know my clients for a short amount of time, but I have
to become one of the most trusted people they know in that time,
because we’re dealing with the largest purchase or sale they’re
making in their lives. My reward is that I get to see how life happens
for them after our time together is done. I see all the good and the
not-so-good. But that’s life. And, I celebrate each moment with
them because of the bond we build in that small window of time.”
Born into a construction family, Richmond holds degrees in
Elementary Education and Counseling. When she moved to
Pittsburgh over a decade ago, her construction roots started calling
to her and she decided to pursue real estate. She signed on with
Realty One Group Gold Standard when it came to town more than a
year ago, because she felt the company represented the future of
real estate agencies in the region.
“Realty One Group Gold Standard is to brokerages what Amazon
is to the internet. They’re forward moving and thinking, interactive
and proactive, and changing the way things are done in real estate,”
she explained. “In this business, every client is diff erent and Realty
One Group Gold Standard gives me the latitude and independence
to use my judgment to best meet the needs of my individual
clients. Plus, there’s so much support and detail paid to technology,
it really is a great place to be, when putting your clients’ interests
fi rst.”
As a longtime resident of the South Hills, Richmond considers her
home turf to be her area of expertise when it comes to the market.
But she has no reservations about crossing a bridge or two—or all
446 of them—for her clients, and has helped them buy and sell
homes everywhere in the region.
She’s also an advocate of continuing education, both for herself
and her clients. Richmond is not only in the process of getting her
Broker’s license, she is also proactive in going into the community
and off ering seminars to help buyers and sellers understand and
get started in the process.
Richmond also believes in giving back to the community. She is
an active member of the Women’s Club of Upper St. Clair. The
Women’s Club of Upper St. Clair is a social and philanthropic
organization that has been providing community support through
scholarships, events, and charitable donations for over 70 years.
But, Richmond’s most rewarding way to give back is her
involvement with Homes for Heroes.
Homes for Heroes (HFH) is a national hero serving organization.
As a member of the local business community, Richmond has been
vetted and approved by HFH as a service provider for hero support
that goes beyond real estate. The services are available to police
offi cers, fi re fi ghters, teachers, emergency and medical personnel,
and, of course, our country’s veterans. HFH has served over 23,000
heroes nationally.
