Gill Hall Elementary Celebrates Read Across America Week
T
he Gill Hall PTA and staff have been hard at work
planning and implementing one of the best weeks
in the school year....”Read Across America Week” from
February 25 through March 1, 2019! The week was
filled with fun and educational lessons designed to encourage
reading and build literacy skills. Dr. Seuss themes and activities
were incorporated into each day, such as Silly Sock Day, Green

Day, Wacky Wednesday, Hat Day, and Pajama Day. Doors were
decorated, hallways were brightly transformed, and special
visitors were welcomed. Visitors included therapy dogs, Kenny
Kangaroo, State Representative Michael J. Puskaric, and TJ high
school student volunteers. Happy Birthday Dr. Seuss!
