Adult Mental Health First Aid Training Saturday, April 7 – 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Borough of Jefferson Hills Municipal Center Community Room Mental Health First Aid is a national program that teaches the skills to identify, understand and respond to the signs of mental illness and substance abuse. Jefferson Hills Library is pleased to host this informative seminar for church leaders, community groups, families or other interested community members. Just as CPR helps you assist an individual having a heart attack, Mental Health First Aid helps you assist someone experiencing a mental health or substance use-related crisis. In the Mental Health First Aid course, you learn risk factors and warning signs for mental health and addiction concerns, strategies for how to help someone in both crisis and non-crisis situations, and where to turn for help.
