from different cultures, Fourth
Graders at Gill Hall Elementary are
celebrating the Chinese New Year by
making Chinese Dragons. Students
watched a short video that went over
traditional customs of Chinese New
Year, such as the lion dance, the giving
of red envelopes and the legend of the
Nian. Students also learned about other
traditions associated with Chinese New
Year. With the lessons in hand, students
utilized their creativity and art skills to
create their very own symbol of good
luck for the Chinese New Year.
