Every library has a heart.
Each September, Love Your Library Month gives us the opportunity to celebrate what makes Jefferson Hills Public Library such a special place: the people. A library is built on more than books and resources. It’ s built on the staff who welcome every visitor and the patrons who fill our programs, share recommendations, learn something new, and make the library part of their everyday lives. From young readers discovering their first favorite stories to longtime patrons who have supported the library for years, every visitor helps shape the community we serve.
The support of our community allows the library to continue growing and creating meaningful experiences for patrons of all ages. Donations made during Love Your Library Month help expand programming, introduce new resources, and provide opportunities for learning, creativity, and connection. Even better, gifts made throughout September are eligible for a matching contribution from the Jack Buncher Foundation, allowing every donation to have an even greater impact. Throughout the month, there will be several ways to celebrate and support the library, including fundraisers, community activities, and opportunities to give back and get involved:
• Make a monetary donation( every dollar makes a difference!).
• Pick up a free Love Your Library yard sign.
• Purchase a JHPL tote bag for $ 5.
• Try your luck with our Love Your Library raffle baskets.
• Snap a photo at our Love Your Library photo backdrop.
• Purchase an item from our Amazon Wishlist.
• Join us for our Texas Roadhouse Fundraiser( date to be announced).
• Attend Trivia Night on Tuesday, September 29. Registration is $ 50 per team or $ 10 per individual.
