LOVE YOUR LIBRARY: 10 Years of Community Support
This September marks the 10th anniversary of Love Your Library Month, making it a perfect time to reflect on the impact of giving, and to say thank you.
When community members support Jefferson Hills Public Library during Love Your Library Month, they ' re doing more than donating, they’ re investing in a shared space where ideas grow, connections are made, and lifelong learning happens. Every dollar raised during September is eligible for a match from the Jack Buncher Foundation, making each gift go even further.
Thanks to the generosity of our patrons over the past decade, we ' ve expanded our programming, introduced new technology and resources, and created meaningful experiences for all ages, from early literacy programs and STEM kits to author visits, workshops, and community events.
As we celebrate this milestone year, we’ re looking ahead with both excitement and gratitude. Each contribution helps ensure that the library remains an exciting, welcoming, and responsive resource for the entire community, now and for years to come.
To mark the occasion, the library is hosting a variety of ways to give back and get involved:
• Trivia Night – Monday, September 30 at 6:30 p. m. Join us for a night of friendly competition with a $ 300 grand prize, door prizes between rounds, and tables of up to six for $ 50. Ages 12 and up recommended.
• Raffle Baskets – September 2 – 30. Take a chance on a themed raffle basket. Tickets are $ 2 for 1, $ 5 for 3, $ 10 for 7, or $ 20 for 20.
• Panera Bread Fundraiser – Friday, September 20( all day!) Dine / order at Panera Bread, and 20 % of your order will support the library.
• Love Your Library Yard Signs – Free yard signs will be available to pick up at the library while supplies last.
• Add to Our Heart Display – During your visit, add a heart to our display wall and share what makes the library special to you.
