Be Prepared for the November General Election
As the November General Election approaches, the Borough of Jefferson Hills encourages all residents to stay informed and ready to participate in the democratic process. Election Day is Tuesday, November 5, 2025, with polls open from 7:00 a. m. to 8:00 p. m. This year is a municipal election year, meaning the decisions made at the polls will directly impact local leadership, including the makeup of Borough Council.
Jefferson Hills is separated into nine voting districts, with polling locations throughout the community:
• District 1: Gill Hall Community Center
• District 2: Municipal Center( Library Entrance)
• District 3: Steel Center for Career and Technical Education( CTE)
• District 4: Steel Center for Career and Technical Education( CTE)
• District 5: Saint Thomas à Becket
• District 6: Floreffe Fire Hall
• District 7: Municipal Center( Council Chambers Entrance)
• District 8: Gill Hall Fire Hall
• District 9: Saint Thomas à Becket Before heading to the polls, residents are encouraged to confirm their assigned polling place using the PA Voter Services Polling Place Locator. Scan the QR code or visit: https:// www. pavoterservices. pa. gov / pages / pollingplaceinfo. aspx.
To vote in Allegheny County, individuals must be registered and meet the following eligibility requirements:
• Be a U. S. citizen for at least 30 days before the election
• Be at least 18 years old on or before Election Day
• Reside in their election district for at least 30 days prior to the election Residents who need to register or update their voter information can do so by visiting the Allegheny County Department of Elections in downtown Pittsburgh, calling
412-350-4500, registering while renewing or applying for a Pennsylvania driver’ s license, or filing online. Voters must re-register if they have changed their name, address, or wish to change their party affiliation. The deadline to register for the November election is October 20, 2025.
For those unable to vote in person, mail-in or absentee voting is available. Registered voters may request a ballot if they are unable to appear at their polling location due to illness, disability, travel, work obligations, or religious observance. The last day to request a mail-in or absentee ballot is October 28, 2025. All completed mail ballots must be received by the county election office no later than November 4, 2025.
