COMMUNITY DAY
Mowry Park was alive with festivities as
Pleasant Hills held its annual Community
Day on Aug. 10. The day started off with
a parade and national anthem by the
Thomas Jefferson High School Band.
There was an annual Frisbee toss to round
out the morning before the musical and
dance acts took the stage to keep the beat
moving until evening fireworks ended
the day. In between, participants were
able to visit numerous food, activity and
educational vendors that filled up the
park grounds.
