This shows that 26.8 % of the residents
and business we serve our supporting the
fire department. Unfortunately this is not
enough funding to allow us to replace our
fire apparatus as needed. In order for enough
funding to be generated we need 100% of our
residents supporting their fire department.
The addition of a fire tax is one option
which would allow our all volunteer
department to continue to provide the service
to our community.
If the current volunteer department was
a paid service, it which would require a
much higher fire tax to support an estimated
$630,000 annual operating budget.
