The Greater Erie City Nature Challenge will be April 26-29 , with a challenge to document as many wild things as possible during the event . You can download the iNaturalist app by visiting asburywoods . org and then start recording all the nature you encounter to add to the database of global wildlife .
Arbor Day Celebration ! April 27 marks the date for the celebration of trees at Asbury Woods ’ nature center , from 1 to 4 p . m . This event is offered free to the public . Learn how to identify trees , their importance , and how to care for them .

THE ERIE PLAYHOUSE

In March it will be presenting six performances of “ Lyle the Crocodile ,” which follows the adventures of Lyle and Hector P . Valenti , based on the book series that first appeared in 1962 and has become a beloved classic .
When the Primm family moves into their New York apartment , they are startled to find a crocodile in their bathtub ! But with his charm , dancing and juggling , Lyle wins them over . Don ’ t miss this entertaining performance !

THE WOODS ARE CALLING AT ASBURY !
Asbury Woods has several fun events for venturing outdoors after a long winter .
The Maple Festival Always a popular event , the Maple Festival will be held March 2 & 3 , from 10 a . m . to 3 p . m . at the Conner Nature Center . This is a fun event for all ages , exploring the heritage of harvesting and the process of creating maple syrup . There will be several vendors on-site offering all things maple !
