NURSES
help moms and babies get closer — it’s how Allegheny Health Network
cares for women throughout life
When infants are born, they enter a cold, noisy world, very diff erent from the warm, familiar bodies of their
mothers. Allegheny Health Network (AHN) Stork Nurse Meghan Wagoner helps babies and mothers
make a swift, soothing connection. Meghan is living proof that a great nurse makes the greatest diff erence.
Fastest growing health system
for labor and delivery
AHN has been recognized as having the region’s fastest growing
labor and delivery program in western Pennsylvania.* In 2016, we
delivered over 7,300 babies across West Penn, Forbes, Jeff erson,
and Saint Vincent hospitals. Each labor and delivery unit has a
neonatal intensive care unit NICU for critically ill infants to receive
highly specialized care including two Level III NICUs that care for
those babies who need it most.
