2017 BRINGS NEW PARTNERSHIP TO THE LIBRARY
With spring upon us, there are many new things to look forward to at Western Allegheny Community Library. The most noticeable change of 2017 will likely be the construction of the“ Backyard”— the library’ s new outdoor space that is expected to open in late spring or early summer, depending on the weather.
In addition to expanding the library’ s usable space and creating an opportunity for new programs, the Backyard has helped establish an exciting new partnership between the library and the Parkway West Rotary Club( PWRC). PWRC recently announced that it will help fund a portion of the Backyard with proceeds from the 19th Annual Gerry Dulac Charity Golf Classic.
With spring just around the corner, plans are already underway for the summer golf outing, which will take place July 17 at the Sewickley Heights Golf Club.
The library will announce more details as they become available. For now, save the date and get your golf gear ready for a fantastic time on the greens.
