2017 BRINGS NEW PARTNERSHIP TO THE LIBRARY
With spring upon us , there are many new things to look forward to at Western Allegheny Community Library . The most noticeable change of 2017 will likely be the construction of the “ Backyard ”— the library ’ s new outdoor space that is expected to open in late spring or early summer , depending on the weather .
In addition to expanding the library ’ s usable space and creating an opportunity for new programs , the Backyard has helped establish an exciting new partnership between the library and the Parkway West Rotary Club ( PWRC ). PWRC recently announced that it will help fund a portion of the Backyard with proceeds from the 19th Annual Gerry Dulac Charity Golf Classic .
With spring just around the corner , plans are already underway for the summer golf outing , which will take place July 17 at the Sewickley Heights Golf Club .
The library will announce more details as they become available . For now , save the date and get your golf gear ready for a fantastic time on the greens .
