The party starts with trunk-or-treating followed by a dance party at the Falcon Pavilion featuring haunting music and Halloween-themed crafts. There will also be games and pizza, and treat bags for kids while supplies last. Be sure to wear your costume for more fun!

THE FOREST IN AUTUMN!
Fall presents a unique time to visit the forest when for a short time, the trees will be a beautiful mix of red and gold. Hollow Oak Land Trust preserves and protects scenic, historic and recreational lands with high natural resource value in the greater Pittsburgh area, including the Montour Woods. The green spaces offer a great opportunity to take a stroll among nature, and reconnect with the natural world and other people.
Trail Luv Mondays is a volunteer stewardship program the trust utilizes to maintain the trails in the conservation areas. By joining the weekly volunteer trail maintenance group, you will be helping to restore, conserve and protect the natural landscape. WEST ALLEGHENY FOOD PANTRY
The West Allegheny Food Pantry and Thrift Shop helps friends and neighbors who are going through a difficult time making ends meet. If you are able to donate non-perishable food items, or gently used clothing, it will serve to help individuals and families in the community.

IN HONOR OF VETERANS With Veterans Day, on the horizon, it’ s a great time to honor the tremendous sacrifice of all of our Veterans.
Operation Troop Appreciation( OTA) helps servicemembers, deployed anywhere in the world, either in combat or on humanitarian missions as active duty, reservists or U. S. National Guard. Their valuable help provides items needed by the troops while deployed.
OTA also helps Veterans who are transitioning back into civilian life, which can be one of the most stressful times in any servicemember’ s life. OTA is there to help ease the transition and provide both practical and emotional support.

SCRAPOSAURS AT THE GARDEN
Pittsburgh Botanic Garden will feature prehistoric creatures made from old scraps of steel, recycled metal and found objects. Take a walk through the exhibit and discover 15 imposing sculptures from another era. This exhibit will run through Oct. 31.
Along with your ticket to Scraposaurs, you’ ll have access to 65 acres of cultivated gardens and woodlands, all art exhibitions, Nature Adventure Backpacks, and other interactive activities.
