Fall for Your Library!
One of the library’ s most anticipated events will be held on Sept. 20 from 6 to 10 p. m., at Celebrations Bar, Banquet & Grill in Imperial! This is a great way to support your local library while enjoying great food, drinks, music, exciting games, and a silent auction with items from beloved local businesses.
“ This fundraiser is something special,” says Library Director Mackenzie Partyka.“ It’ s about celebrating the role the library plays in people’ s lives … it helps us continue to serve our community in creative and impactful ways.”

September is“ Love Your Library” Month!
The library is thrilled to celebrate the 10-year anniversary of Love Your Library month! Every donation made to Western Allegheny Community Library throughout the month of September will receive a prorated MATCH— up to $ 500 per donor! Fall Reading Challenge
Some people just can’ t wait for fall! And not just because of pumpkin spice lattes … the return of autumn also means the return of another Reading Challenge! There are lots of awesome autumn activities and reading tracking for ALL ages( including adults!) to earn tickets for a chance to win prizes. The challenge is running Sept. 1 through Nov. 26. There will be a Teacher Preview night on Oct. 15, 3 to 6 p. m.
( must show educator ID). The sale accepts cash or credit. Hosted by Friends of the Library group. The library accepts and appreciates donations of gently used materials for the book sale. Donations may be dropped off inside the library during open hours.

Adult Programs
CRAFT SWAP Saturday, October 4, 10 a. m. to noon
Did you pick up a crafting hobby that’ s no longer interesting to you? Come to the craft swap! Donations will be accepted starting Sept. 22, or bring them the day of the swap. You don’ t need to donate to participate. See the website for donation guidelines.
CPR & FIRST AID CLASS Saturday, October 25, 10 a. m. to 2 p. m.
A presenter from CCAC is coming and will provide an American Heart Association Heart Saver CPR / AED / First Aid certification class. This four-hour class is for ages 18 and up, and is offered at a discount of $ 30. Participants will receive an AHA Heartsaver course completion card valid for two years. Must register and pay online.
