BARE Skin and Laser is owned and directed by Dr . Vincent Ripepi of Advanced Orthopaedics and his wife , Jodi , a nurse practitioner of 22 years . The BARE team also includes registered nurse Michelle Ripepi , medical aestheticians Mackenzie Nix and Lisa Wilson . They are all certified laser technicians .
Jodi ’ s journey into the world of medical aesthetics and lasers began as a patient : “ I was a sun worshipper most of my life , and when I hit my mid-40s , the damage really started to show .” She explains that dark spots , uneven texture , and premature wrinkles had her seeking out ways to turn back the clock — or at least slow it down — and improve her overall skin health . “ I was so overwhelmed by the volume of products , procedures , and promises on the market that I felt like I had sampled them all . Some were good , some weren ’ t worth the hype , and then there were the game changers . These were the ones that made me want to open my own practice so I could share with others the excitement I felt when I noticed my own skin health improvement .”
Before she could feel comfortable opening her own business , Jodi wanted to sharpen her Dr . Vincent Ripepi
skills , so she and Michelle spent three years traveling the country attending countless seminars and training with top specialists to become proficient in advanced procedures . Jodi also painstakingly researched and tested the offerings of the world ’ s top laser manufacturers . “ I didn ’ t want the most well-known ,” she notes . “ I wanted what I feel to be the best .
