BROWNIE AND JUNIOR GIRL SCOUTS OF TROOP 60187 SURPRISE PATIENTS AT ST . CLAIR HOSPITAL CANCER CENTER
Patients receiving treatment at the St . Clair Hospital Cancer Center , affiliated with UPMC Hillman Cancer Center , received a special treat from the Brownie and Junior Girl Scouts of Troop 60187 in Upper St . Clair . This group of third and fourth graders donated a total of 137 boxes of cookies for patients to enjoy following treatment .
One of the three troop leaders , Jeanette Benedetto , is a former Cancer Center patient , so the troop unanimously selected it for their Troop Gift of Caring this year in her honor .

The Pittsburgh Rose Society in association with the Mt . Lebanon Public Library will host its Third Annual David McKibben Rose EXPO from 1 to 4 p . m . on Saturday , Sept . 2 , at the Mt . Lebanon Public Library on Castle Shannon Blvd . in Pittsburgh ’ s South Hills . This event is free and open to the public of all ages .
A rose exposition is an event where local rose growers display their roses in various classes . Unlike a rose show , the roses at the EXPO will not be judged .

HDG ARCHITECTS ANNOUNCES CHANGES TO LEADERSHIP TEAM AND REBRANDING
Formerly known as The Hayes Design Group , HDG Architects announced changes to its leadership and ownership team as well as the rebrand . Kevin
Hayes , after leading and managing the firm he founded since 1992 , has stepped down from his role as president and will continue as a principal . He will assist with client projects and be focused on mentoring the new leadership team and pursuing strategic marketing opportunities .
Mark Duane has been named president of HDG . He has been an industry leader and with the firm for two decades . He will be joined by new HDG officers and shareholders Rob Rensi and Andrew Campanaro on the leadership team . They have been with HDG for more than 12 years each and have been integral to almost every project on which the firm has worked .
From a branding perspective , the firm is no longer using The Hayes Design Group name but instead will be known as HDG Architects .
According to Duane , “ The leadership and branding changes will position us for continued growth and success in the future . Our new branding better represents the firm we are today with multiple owners . It also focuses on our team and culture and less on one person .”
Hayes added , “ It ’ s time for Mark , Rob and Andrew to be recognized for everything they have done over many years and allow them to lead us forward into the future . I look forward to working with the new leadership team in serving our clients as we always have for many more years to come .”
The firm is celebrating its 30th anniversary , starting as a one-person enterprise that has grown to nearly 20 employees .
