This summer, The Bible Chapel
in McMurray will offer four Sports
Camps for children in kindergarten
through grade 6. Sport-specific morning
camps include:
Basketball: July 22-25
Soccer: July 29-August 1
Wrestling: August 5-8 (coached by
current and former coaches from Peters
and Mt. Lebanon high schools, open to
grades 1-6)
Variety Sports Camps are offered
in the afternoons following sport-
specific camps.
You may register your child for
either morning camp, afternoon camp,
or both at a discounted rate. For

MEMBERS
The Woman’s Club of Upper St. Clair
is a social and philanthropic organization,
which has been providing community
support through scholarships, events and
charitable donations for more than 70
years. The club would like to welcome all
women in the area to attend one of the
general club luncheons and programs,
held on the third Tuesday of each month,
September through May.
Literary Ladies and Today’s Living
groups also meet on Tuesdays. For

ANIMAL CHARITIES
IN SOUTHWEST
PA BENEFIT FROM
CLEARVIEW’S
COMMUNITY GIVING
PROGRAM
Clearview Federal Credit Union
announced the selection of animal
charities and shelters located near
financial centers in southwestern
Pennsylvania as benefactors of its
Community Giving Program for the first
quarter of 2019.
The animal shelters benefiting from
the program include the Beaver County
Humane Society, Action for Animals
Humane Society, Two Ladies and Four
Paws Rescue, Animal Protectors, Steel
City Rescue, Butler Humane Society,
Animal Friends, and the Hancock
County Shelter.
Financial centers in Chippewa, Center,
Hopewell, Latrobe, Lower Burrell,
Delmont, Butler, and East Liverpool are
participating and have received a wish
list of items needed by the shelters. Due
to recent flooding at the Beaver County
Humane Society, cash donations will also
be accepted at the Hopewell, Chippewa,
and Center financial centers in order to
provide extra assistance.
SOUTH HILLS SENIOR
SOFTBALL LOOKING
FOR MEMBERS
The South Hills Senior Softball League
registration has been open for the 2019
season. The league is for players 55 years
old and up. (Players who are 54 can
join at any time during the year they
turn 55.) Information and forms for
registration are on the league’s website at
seniorsoftballleague.com.
The league holds practices and games
through August or early September at
fields in South Park and elsewhere in the
South Hills.
“You’ll feel like a kid again when you
play,” says Doug Houston, commissioner
of the nonprofit group. “The average
icmags.com
player is about 66, and our softball rules
are age-appropriate.”
Players are chosen for teams each
spring in a draft, ensuring that talent is
spread more or less evenly among the
teams. The league holds a catered picnic
at the end of each season.
Players come from all over the
area, including Baldwin, Bethel Park,
Bridgeville, Carnegie, Castle Shannon,
Chartiers Valley, Dormont, Mt. Lebanon,
Peters Township, South Park, Upper St.
Clair, Whitehall and others.

Prize-winning photojournalist, focused
on War, Injustice, Resilience and
Humanity.
In addition to the formal lecture, an
optional luncheon at St. Clair Country
Club is held immediately following,
where the speaker is available to answer
questions posed by the luncheon
audience—which frequently leads to a
very candid exchange! Tickets for the
