Hemphill inadvertently got into
contracting right out of high school
when his brother-in-law saw hard
labor as a way to push him in a career
direction.
“I didn’t know what I wanted to do. I
knew college wasn’t something for me,
so he brought me out to torture me as
a laborer,” Hemphill joked. “Turns out, I
loved it. I loved it then and I still love it
today. I’m out here with my guys every day, putting the tool belt
on rain, shine or snow.”
And while he’s up for any project, Hemphill takes special pride
in the more extreme aspects of the jobs he bids out.
“We specialize in our tile work and carpentry. All of our team’s
skills are exceptional, but if I had to pin down crown jewels,
custom showers and finishes would be it,” he said. “Everything
we do is custom and I especially love when we have a big, crazy
bathroom design to build. That’s one of my favorite things to do.”

Hemphill also loves when homeowners challenge him with a
design that’s unique to their lifestyle.
“We build things that people will live with for as long as they
own their home,” he said. “So creating something that’s special,
unique and reflective of the personality of the homeowners is
like being commissioned for a work of art. We’re using common
building materials to create something they will cherish and
enjoy, day in and day out. When it comes down to it, the place
you lay your head at night is your home and it deserves to be as
personalized for you as it can be.”
As the leader of a team of five professionals, Hemphill said
his team is the best he’s ever worked with and consummate
professionals about the work.
“Everybody I work with loves their job and what we do,” he
added. “We’re all happy to come to work every day and we love
seeing homeowners’ faces when they see the quality we put into
every job. We all care about the job we do and want to make sure
the homeowners see that every time they walk into their home.”
