Nemacolin Wooflands is a combination veterinary office, doggy daycare, boarding and grooming facility all in one. The Peters Township location is the second one opened by company president Cheri Bomar. The original location is in the Nemacolin Woodlands Resort/Farmington area, and will continue to be a major influence on the Peters site. “This is going to be a full-service facility catering to all of the major needs of pet owners: pet health, pet grooming and hygiene, boarding and accessories,” Bomar said. “We will offer day care and boarding in Peters and will transport pets to our Farmington location for boarding too.” At the Peters Township Wooflands, there will be room to board 10 pets on site. Off site, the organization can accommodate 120 dogs and 14 cats. Bomar is planning the Wooflands to be a seven-day-a-week facility with extended hours for customers who can’t pick up or drop off during 9-5 working hours. The easy-in/easy-out location along Rt. 19 means that pet owners can drop their pets off quickly and conveniently. Plus the staff can easily accommodate pets with health conditions and pets that have special needs or are in rehabilitation programs. There are even care packages geared toward pampering older pets. The facility will have both indoor and outdoor play yards. And what’s more, the Wooflands will have two veterinarians on site, Dr. Marsia Bates, DVM and Dr. Nicholle Hebert, DVM. The veterinary branch of the business will offer clients three stateof-the-art exam rooms, surgery suite, dental suite and the ability to customize pet wellness packages. The medical practice will complement the Wooflands’ other endeavors seamlessly, again in the interest of customer convenience. “Anywhere you take your dog is going to require the dog to be up to date on his or her shots,” Bomar said. “If you’re unsure when those last were administered, we can requisition the records for you and administer any vaccines that are out of date or that need to be boostered. We can also groom your pet here so that he or she is clean and looking good when you’re ready to pick up.” The grooming salon will employ two professional groomers who have a combined 25 years of experience and who can pamper your pet while you’re running errands or out of town. A small retail shop will carry many of the things you may need for your pet, including collars, special foods, nail clippers, clothes, pet treats and other specialty items. And, of course, it will be carrying a full line of grooming products so you can maximize your investment in your pet’s appearance at home between grooming appointments. “The bottom line is that we are committed to great customer service and great quality care, whether your pet’s with us a few hours or a few weeks,” Bomar said. “We strive to be the premier pet care facility in the South Hills. We do that now through the decisions we’re making while building this facility, and we’ll continue to do it once our doors are open
