WHEN THE OTHERS
CAN’T SELL IT,
Dionne Malush Can!
Statistically, the average Realtor® sells
between 6 and 8 homes a year. Dionne
Malush has had her sixth year of selling
nearly 10 times that for her clients. The
secret of her success, she said, is marketing,
something that
other Realtors can’t
bring to the table
like she can, and
that is the topic of
a chapter she coauthored in the new
book, The New Rise
in Real Estate.
“Basically, one of
the keys to selling a
home is aggressively marketing the home,”
Malush said. “The days of a real estate
agent just putting a ‘For Sale’ sign in the
yard are gone. Marketing and knowing
how to price your home are two of the
most important factors.”
Graduating from the Art Institute of
Pittsburgh in 1989, Malush, later, entered
the real estate business with a flair for
creativity and attention to detail that
many others aren’t able to approach, and
she uses her degree today to offer her
clients great photography, better design
and better aesthetics when it comes to
their homes’ marketing materials. She has
created an aggressive online marketing
campaign as 92% of buyers search online
now before ever driving down the street.
It is too easy for the buyer to hit the NEXT
button, so she utilizes the internet to her
advantage. She also has incorporated social
media into her marketing campaign which
has really put her listings in front of many
potential opportunities. You can friend her

As for listing a home, Malush says,
“Before my clients even take me on as their
representative, I give them a presentation
on pricing, marketing and show ability, so
that we’re on the same page. Beyond that, I
find that my clients appreciate my sense
of humor and my willingness to listen
to them to really hear their issues and
what they’re looking for. It’s because
of that that I tend to do really well with
expired listings – the ones that have
been listed by other companies and
didn’t sell. People come to me to finish
that stalled process.”
Malush has made a move to RE/
MAX Select Realty, the #1 Real Estate
Company in the World. While it’s easy to
get lost in the technology jargon of 21st
Century business models, Malush said
the only thing clients need to understand
is that they will see a HUGE difference.
RE/MAX has agents representing them
in 89 countries with over 89,000 agents
worldwide.
“We have multiple offices – and one
opening right at Donaldson’s Crossroads
in Peters Twp. – which will allow me to
easily represent clients in that entire South
Hills corridor, but I am an agent willing
to go anywhere for a client,” she said.
“Because RE/MAX focuses on working
online, the internet marketing I can offer
clients is second to none. Marketing works
everywhere and RE/MAX does more of it
than any other company. There statistics
are staggering.”
For her efforts, Malush has achieved
the prestigious Centurion Award from her
5 years at Century 21 Frontier. She was
ranked in the top 1% in sales at Coldwell
Banker Pittsburgh over 1,000 agents and
is climbing the RE/MAX ladder to success.
Dionne sells between 50-60 homes each
year. Dionne is a co-author of The New
Rise in Real Estate, a book that has reached
#1 on Amazon.com’s 2012 Best Seller
List. Currently, Dionne is training and
masterminding with Bravo’s Million Dollar
Listing Agents, Josh Flagg from Beverly
Hills and Fredrik Uklund from New York City
learning their techniques to compete in the
luxury real estate market. Dionne Malush
is offering FREE professional photography
when listing a luxury home in the area.
In addition to getting homes in the
region sold, Malush also started “A Real
Live Santa Claus,” a charity endeavor that
collects money throughout the year to
distribute to needy families during the
holidays. The money, in the form of gift
cards, is hand-delivered by Malush herself.
