Letter from our
President
With only weeks left of 2018,
there is so much to reflect on
from the past year, as well as
look forward to and celebrate.
Pathways’ 40th anniversary year
has been an exciting one, and we
are so grateful for our extensive
community that has walked this journey with
us.
One of our most recent notable achievements
is our 40th Anniversary Celebration. This event
honored five individuals who have helped
shaped Pathways’ history and raised more
than $100,000, net proceeds of which will go
toward the expansion of pediatric programs and
services. Few losses are more devastating than
the death of a child, which is perhaps why few
hospice programs intentionally row into that
space. But that is precisely what Pathways
intends to do. With your help, no family bracing
itself for “the worst loss” will go without
Pathways’ care and support, and our staff will
have the competence, confidence, and support
they need to excel in this demanding work.
Additionally, we are thrilled to further support
the children in our community through our
highly anticipated Children’s Healing Garden.
After many months of anticipation, our
completed Children’s Healing Garden was
revealed to the public during our Grand Opening
ceremony in October. This unique space is
designed to help several hundred grieving
or seriously ill children cope with complex
emotions through nature.
Both of these milestones occurred just before
the kickoff of the holiday season. Now that this
season of graciousness, compassion and giving
is upon us, I ask that you remember Pathways
when deciding how you can make a difference
in our community. Colorado Gives Day is Dec.
4, and I hope you will consider supporting
Pathways’ mission by scheduling your gift at

Partner Spotlight: Grace Pointe
Throughout the past 40 years, Pathways has had the opportunity to form
many valuable relationships with care facilities across northern Colorado.
One such partner is Grace Pointe Continuing Care Senior Community.
Grace Pointe is a private, locally owned continuum of care in Greeley
with the mission of serving others. Grace Pointe is dedicated to providing
premium senior living choices for independent, assisted and memory care,
featuring all the amenities of home with specific activities for every level
of care. For those who have more complex needs, 24-hour skilled nursing,
post-hospital care and rehabilitation is provided in private suites for rest,
recuperation, therapy and healing. Professionally trained staff work hard to
maximize each resident’s independence and quality of life, while providing
assistance and support catered to each person’s needs.
Pathways has partnered with Grace Pointe to provide hospice and palliative
care to residents in a kind and loving manner. Grace Pointe is proud
to partner with Pathways in providing compassionate care and quality
customer service when working with patients and their families. In
addition, Pathways’ reach extends beyond the scope of clinical, emotional
and spiritual care, which is demonstrated by participation in community
activities, fundraisers and events that support residents, families and staff
at Grace Pointe.
Thank you, Grace Pointe, for being an outstanding partner in providing
exceptional care to our community!
Thank you to everyone who has stood by
Pathways’ side throughout the past 40 years and
for your continued support this holiday season.
I hope this time of year is filled with joy, family
and love.
