Tell us about the Ambassador program that you got picked to be a part of? A: I was chosen by all of the fourth grade teachers to be the fifth grade scholar ambassador. Now, along with the fourth grade ambassador, also named Alyssa, and the third grade ambassador, Jillian, I get to lead the “core values”, the pledge, and I get to do the announcements every morning. I think it is fun to have that responsibility. Q. What is the Student Life Club? How are you a part of this club? A: Student Life Club is sort of like last year’s NJHS (National Junior Honor Society). Everyone in it has lots of responsibility. We help plan Spirit Week, help with some of the smaller fundraisers, and have a small say in what the yearbook will be like. Every quarter the fifth grade scholars vote for 2 people in their class for Student Life Club, a boy and a girl. I won’t be in the club much longer though, my time is almost up. Q. Tell us about your upcoming play with the school? A: The play this year is going to be “Into The Woods”. I do not know much about it, but I am going to try out anyway because I really enjoyed being in last year’s Willy Wonka Jr. Jaime Mares Senior at Estrella Foothills High School Jaime Mares is going IVY!!! Jaime Mares, Senior at Estrella Foothills High School and the president of Arizona’s FBLA, was just accepted to University of Penn State on a full ride scholarship. In the ZONA would like to congratulate Jaime for his wonderful accomplishments! Q: Tell me a little bit about Future Business Leaders of America. A: I joined the Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) my sophomore year after my advisor saw me give a presentation in class. My advisor, Ms. Connor, told me that I looked very comfortable at the front of the classroom as I presented and because of that reason she saw me having a great deal of success within (FBLA). )D
