Arcadia High School Lacrosse As a “club sport,” public schools do not provide funds, equipment or practice facilities; those costs are passed on to the players. It is a “pay to play” sport. In order to make lacrosse accessible to all boys interested in playing, a couple of dedicated parents formed a nonprofit organization, Arcadia Lacrosse, Inc., to allow for tax deductible monetary and equipment donations to help offset the costs of the uniforms, field rental, equipment purchases. Freshman and experienced lacrosse player, Grant Loftin (pictured, left), has been actively recruiting student athletes for the team and stated, “I am excited about having a lacrosse program at Arcadia. The enthusiasm for the sport is awesome. I can’t wait to play this season with a lot of great athletes!”   When Austin Davidson (pictured, right), a junior at Arcadia, was asked about playing on Arcadia’s new Lacrosse team he said, “With hard work and dedication, I think Arcadia Lacrosse is going to be great and I think by the time games start we will have a great chance of winning.” Q. What is your favorite part of the Coking Club? A. I love all of the different ingredients and tasting the food. I like that Chef Whitney makes food that I can eat because I am gluten and nut free. Q. What is the most delicious thing that you have ever made? A. There are many but the most delicious was probably the brownies and the pumpkin cookies with frosting. Q. Do you have an all time favorite food? A. My favorites are my grandpa’s steak, my dad’s fried rice, mint and vanilla ice cream and gluten free donuts. Q. What do you want to be when you grow up? A. An artist and a dancer who works at a hospital to help people. I also want to be a mom who cooks good food for my kids. Q. What is your favorite thing about Camelback Desert School? A. I love the teachers because they are all so nice and caring. I love learning math, reading and science. They make learning fun with lots of projects.
