STCS Honors All Saints Day
S
aints are an important
tradition to the Catholic
Church. At Saint
Theresa Catholic School
the first grade started a new
tradition last year involving
saints. The tradition
continues. In early October
this year, each first grader
chose a saint, wrote a report
about that saint, and created
a costume that represents
the saint. It was a busy month at each saint’s house!
The culminating event was on November 1st when the
Catholic Church celebrates All Saint’s Day. The “saints”
processed in with the altar servers and Fr. Bing. The first
grade saints did the readings, the Prayers of the Faithful
and made an offering during the Presentation of the
Gifts. It was a fabulous day! May the tradition continue
for years to come. Z
Each Saint Theresa
Catholic School first
grader created a
costume based on a
saint of their choosing.
